Paul’s Cottage by the Lake is located in the rural and beautiful community of Garden Bay, at the bend of Hotel lake Road, just 14 kilometres from Madeira Park on the BC Sunshine Coast.

Getting to The Lake & Pender Harbour, BC

The Pender Harbour area includes Daniel Point, Irvine’s Landing, Garden Bay, Francis Peninsula, the village of Madeira Park and Egmont. Hop on BC Ferries from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale for an easy 40-minute scenic trip; you’ll find getting to the Sunshine Coast is just part of the adventure. Each seaside town on the Coast has its own personality and charm. Stop in, explore and get on “Coast time” while you travel to the lake.   • From the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal in West Vancouver BC, take the Langdale ferry (40 min trip)
  • Exit ferry and follow Sunshine Coast HWY/BC-101 signs north for aproximately 1 hour (63km)
  • Turn left on Garden Bay Road at the Petro Canada Gas Station  
  • Follow Garden Bay Road for 10 minutes (keeping Garden Bay Lake on your left side)
  • When the lake ends, take the first right on Sinclair Bay Road
  • Follow until you reach the stop sign (2-3 minutes )
  • Straight ahead is Paul’s Cottage with signage and the driveway to your left

Total travel time from Horseshoe Bay (including ferry ride) is aproximately 2 hours

  • Take ferry from Comox to Powell River (1.5hrs)
  • Follow BC-101 to Earls Cove
  • Take the Earls Cove – Saltery bay ferry (55 min)
  • Follow Sunshine Coast HWY/BC-101 to Garden Bay Rd
  • Turn right onto Garden Bay Rd
  • Continue onto Irvines Landing Rd
  • Turn left onto Hotel Lake Rd
  • Pauls’ Cottage will be on the left

Total travel time from Horseshoe Bay Ferry terminal (including 45 min ferry trip) should be approximately 2 hours.
