Booking Information & Rental Rates for Paul’s Cottage by the Lake in Garden Bay, on the Sunshine Coast of BC

We look forward to welcoming you to the Sunshine Coast! Paul wants your stay to go as smoothly as possible, so please review the following information before you book your vacation getaway at the Cottage by the Lake. 

If you must cancel your holiday, Paul offers 100% refund with 14 days notice and a  50% refund with 7 days notice. We ask that guests kindly leave the cottage clean. For your safety and security, Paul is available 24 hours/day for emergencies – just send him a message. The Sunshine Coast is a beautiful tourist destination – ferry reservations are recommended during high season.

Paul’s Cottage by the Lake Vacation Rental Rules

  • Smoking is not allowed. People other than those in the Guest party set forth on the “Short Term Rental Agreement” may not stay overnight in or on the property. Any other person in or on (camping) the property is the sole responsibility of the Guest.
  • Paul’s Cottage by the Lake is privately owned, the owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities.
  • The homeowner (Paul) is not responsible for loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
  • Pets are permitted only with prior approval and the pet addendum must be completed.
  • Parking is limited to 2 vehicles. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
  • We offer kayak and mountain bike rentals, as well as extra firewood for purchase, if required. Just let Paul know if this interests you! Use at your own risk.
  • There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Paul suggests bringing beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the unit for outdoor use.
  • Water and Septic: The septic system at Paul’s Cottage by the Lake is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper materials are flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you will be responsible for costs of repair.
